Want a Better India: Time to Think Above Caste & Creed..

Unity in Diversity- where everyone gets equal opportunity to grow and flourish.
We proudly say that our Country has the largest democracy in the world.
But what this democracy actually mean, Is it - of the people, by the people, and for the people ?
I doubt !!

Democracy  is a power to its people to elect their representatives, who then made a successful government. But on what measures these representative should be elected is still a Question.
GOVERNMENT is an institution which demands the highest level of responsibility toward its people. It needs commitment, knowledge of social and economic factors, International relations and a true vision for the future goals.

But how many of us really care about all these qualifications before voting in an election. On What basis we give such a big responsibility of over 1.2 Billion people in the hand of a person (or a group) who don't even know the very basics of our county.
Why we give priority to a political party, religion or a caste over these factor of knowledge and understanding.

Lets try EDUCATION AS NEW CRITERIA TO VOTE:

Problems like Corruption, Unemployment, Poverty, etc will not solve by a single step but a series of wise decisions. We have to take initiatives which can improve our democratic system and government at-large.
With education as new criteria, we can expect some positive changes :
-         Lessser division of our society (on the basis of caste, language, religion, etc) by our Politicians.
-         Better Governance in terms of Decision making and future goals.
-         Lesser number of 'Yes man' people in party houses (which is an Unseen cause of Corruption).
And most important—
-         The Youth ( young, passionate and educated) entering in the main Stream Politics of our Country.
Making it really stand by its worth- " Young India " ...

In last 64 years, we have seen enough of what our politicians do with our trust whether they belong our religion or caste. They only know how to break people and use them for their vote-bank politics.
Its high time to think above Caste and Creed, let’s choose our representatives on better basis of their education qualifications, their knowledge about our society, and their vision for Developing India....

Anna Hazare's popularity saw a downfall after his Campaign in Hisar Elections...!!

How a bunch of few people under the leadership of a 74 year young man become more trustful and committed over our 543 parliamentary members.
How he make the oldest and the strongest party in rule spend sleepless nights for over 7 months and it still continuing.
How he get the attention, the support and praise not only in India but around the corners of the world.

Anna Hazare (some called him Gandhian of 21st Century) make all this possible with the same weapons of Truth & Non-Violence. He speaks loud and clear demanding zero tolerance over Corruption.

On 5th April 2011, Anna Hazare began an "Indefinite Fast" at Jantar Mantar and got the attention of National Media atlarge the very first time. On August 16, he again sat on an "Amaran Anshan" to protest against the government for the proposed Lokpal Bill. His protest has been supported by thousands of people all over the country. Students, Employees, Children and people of all faith came together and  join the campaign. The protest was completely Non-Political, Non- Religious and gives hope for the better society and formation of an Anti-Corrupt Law - JanLokpal Bill.

But, things have changed in this Hisar Elections:

Anna's Campaign of Anti-Corruption became a Campaign of Anti-Congress just before the commencement of Hisar Elections. "Congress is signing no support to the present form of the Jan Lokpal Bill, so we are campaigning against their representatives in Hisar Elections"- said Team Anna. Adding to it- "To make Congress realize that they have to give confirmation over the JanLokpal bill or people will not vote any of their candidate."

This act of Team Anna is seen as a campaign against Congress and politically driven.
Even in hisar elections, the three candidates competing name Kuldeep Bishnoi (Haryana Janhit Congress), Ajay Chautala (Indian National Lok Dal) & Jai Prakash Narayan (Congress). Knowing that there are several cases of corruption pending against Bishnoi and Chautala family in court; Anna Hazare and his Team protest against the Congress candidate.
It has been clearly observed that Team Anna is fighting against Congress and not for an Anti- corrupt government.

Government stand:

When government is agree to present the Lokpal bill in this Winter Session and also send it for further improvements to the Standing Committee, why is that Team Anna become so much agitated with its status.
They are publicly demanding people to make pressure on the local MLAs and Leaders to either support Jan Lokpal Bill or they will be remove in the next elections.

We have the largest Democracy in the World where everyone is free to make his/her opinion. For Jan Lokpal Bill, some says it will be a revolutionary step to check act of corruption while other have doubt toward its implication and practicality. With such diverse opinion, to what extent is it fair by team Anna to forcibly try and get the support of local representatives and putting pressure on the Government to pass it as soon as possible.

Writer's View:

Mahatma Gandhi once said- “Truth cannot be obtained by 'untruthful' or unjust means.”
No doubt that Jan Lokpal Bill gives new hope to the common man. It gives the power to file case and put charges against any government officer irrespective of its rank . But at the same time, we have to keep in mind that there are several such laws enacted in our constitution already to check false activities.
We have to rethink on How this Bill (later 'Act') will make a difference. There are only two ways to remove corruption-
Either we are morally so strong that we will not favor any corrupt activity..
or,  There is a strong Jurisdiction to punish(and punish fast) anyone found guilty in charges of corruption.
The fate of JanLokPal Bill of Team Anna & Lokpal Bill of Government will be decided in the coming Winter Session.I hope the government will stand on its people believes and set a strong example.....
